Welcome to WWLAX! The 2012 Season is almost here.
We are just a month away from starting the 2012 Lacrosse Season! Our team has been working hard in the off-season to be the fittest, fastest players on the field. We had a great showing in our tournament leagues over the winter—achieving winning records and making it to the semi-finals. As the head coach, I am excited about our team’s prospects this year!
Our team is committed, focused, and ready. Our motto is: “Respect is Earned” and our boys have been working hard to earn it. Last year our team had a winning record and its highest GPA ever. This year, I have streamlined our JV and Varsity coaching, improved our fitness-training program, and welcomed two former Whitman graduates as our new JV coach and defensive coordinator.
We need your support to help our team reach its potential—and to keep our kids safe and competitive with the latest equipment. System-wide budget cuts have put a strain on our program and require us to raise substantial support each year from our friends, family, and community. As we enter the 2012 season, we are upgrading our equipment and training resources. We are supporting the school’s efforts to improve our home field, including installing safety nets behind the goals. In addition, we are providing scholarships to students in our program who have financial needs.
Show your team spirit and donate today to help our team compete at its best! Our coaching staff and student athletes appreciate your support!
